Here are three projects I’ve been working on for a while:
Prix pour engagement communautaire francophone —Award for francophone community involvement
Hélène Caron Consulting Services inc. is proud to donate a portion of its profits to encourage McMaster University Graduate Students in the French Department to volunteer and collaborate with the francophone community within Hamilton. French is not just an official language in Canada or a language studied in school , it is a vibrant mix of people and cultures as reflected in Hamilton’s francophone and francophile population. During her studies, Hélène has always acted as a bridge between the French Department and various not-for-profit francophone organizations in Hamilton, through her radio show French Toast as well as her other community work; as such, she was awarded the title of Chevalière de l’Ordre de la Pléiade for her community, professional and academic contributions to the vitality of the Ontario francophone community. In order to promote and foster this kind of involvement, starting February 2023, an award of $3,000 will be available to Grad students from the French Department. This award is also meant to honour two extraordinary professors who have fully supported Hélène’s 20-year academic career and her community involvement: Prof. Maroussia Hajdukoswki-Ahmed and Prof. Suzanne Crosta.
